On October 6, the Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) hosted a workshop to examine the current development status of intelligent robot technology and discuss the related criminal law issues. At the workshop, Professor Ulfrid Neumann (Goethe University Frankfurt) and Professor Dae-Shik Kim (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) gave keynote lectures, reviewed legal disputes following the development of intelligent robot technology. On October 7, KIC hosted a workshop on 「Commercialization of Driverless Car Technology, Legal and Institutional Issues」. Professor Ulfrid Neumann gave an introduction on the commercialization of driverless cars and the legal and institutional issues. The presentation was followed by a discussion on the institutionalization measures regarding driverless cars.
