The Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) participated in the 6th International Forum of Contemporary Criminal Law, co-organized by the College for Criminal Law Science (CCLS) of Beijing Normal University and the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law, on August 22-23, in Beijing. The Forum, attended by approximately 140 people from 10 countries, was held under the theme of “International Experience and Chinese Practice of Combating Corruption.” Dr. Zin-Hwan Kim, President of the KIC, delivered a keynote speech on the topic of “Anti-Corruption Policies in Korea and Research Efforts of the Korean Institute of Criminiology”, and Mr. Hyung-kil Kim, Senior Prosecutor, gave a presentation on “Acceptance of Bribe and Receiving Bribe by Breach of Trust under the Korean Criminal Act.”
