The ACS Organizing Committee held its first meeting, at JW Marriott Hotel, on April 6th to successfully hold the 4th Asian Criminological Society Annual Conference. The committee, presided by KIM Ill Su the President of the Korean Institute of Criminology, consists of 10 high-ranking public officials and heads of academic societies. Among the members, included are GHIL Tae Ki(vice Minister of Justice) and CHAE, Dong Wook(Deputy Prosecutor General). During the meeting, the members were briefed on progress of the conference by KIM Eun-Kyeong, the Director of Conference Secretariat. They sought ways to encourage more experts, practitioners and scholars to participate in the conference.
