The 6th Annual International Forum (AIF) within the 17th German Congress in Crime Prevention (GCOCP) is scheduled to be held 16-17, April 2012, in Munich. Next to topics from the field of crime prevention, the main focus of the congress is "Live Securely in the City". KIM Il-su, the president of KIC, and 3 research fellows will attend the forum to enhance academic ties with other organizations in international criminal justice and to discuss possible cross-border prevention strategies for current crimes. Among Korean participants are 7 Korean practitioners from government agencies. Since KIC singed an academic exchange agreement with the GCOCP in 2010, the two institutes have built close relationship. The German Congress on Crime Prevention was founded in 1995 as an annual national convention for the field of crime prevention. The GCOCP with over 2,500 participants is one of the biggest congresses in crime prevention and draws growing number of international guests every year.
