The KIC reached an academic exchange agreement with Law School of Liaoning University, China on June 26, 2013. With this MOU, the KIC can build a cornerstone for a broader and concrete plan to organize the Forum for Criminal Policy in Northeast Asian Countries to be held in upcoming August 2013. While visiting to Liaoning University, KIC President and other researchers have tried to expand the academic and human network with related organizations such as the Liaoning Prosecutor's Office, Liaoning Province People’s Supreme Court and discussed on illegal drug crimes, voice-phishing crimes, economy crimes, crime trends around the border between Korea and China, current trends on North Korean refugees and so on. By signing the MOU, both institutes will develop academic relationships in law and criminal justice and be actively involved in collaborative research projects.
