The Korean Institute of Criminology (President In-Sup Han) held a Joint Spring Academic Conference with the Korean Association of Victimology under the theme of “The 4th Conference to establish a master plan for the protection and support for victims of crime" on May 14, 2021. In this conference, the following issues have been discussed: the assessment of the reality of private organizations that support crime victims’ recovery from damage; guaranteeing victims’ right to access information to strengthen their participation in criminal proceedings; and the prevention of disclosure and dissemination of crime victim information through media reports and information and communications network
