KICJ received the Innovative Institution Award (1 of 2 institutions with the biggest increase from last year's rating) from the Research Institute Assessment 2020 conducted by the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences. The ceremony took place at the Sejong National Research Complex on May 23rd.

“A Study on Unmanned Store Crime and Criminal Justice Responses” by Research Fellow Sunghyun Cho received the Best Research Report Award of 2022. “A Study on the Improvement of the Stalking Punishment Act and Police Support for Victims” by Research Fellow Dr. Je Seong Cho received the Best Policy Report Award of 2022.
