In 2006 the Korean Institute of Criminology signed a MoU with the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations (HEUNI) for mutual cooperation and academic collaboration on promoting criminal justice system at the international level. On June 23~24, KIC visited HEUNI and discussed further research exchange/collaboration and organization of the 2017 PNI meeting which will be held in Seoul, December 2017.
