International Forum on the Challenges and Opportunities in Criminal Justice for Public Safety

The Korean Institute of Criminology hosted an International Forum on "Challenges and Opportunities in Criminal Justice for Public Safety" on 30 September 2016. President Zin-Hwan Kim of KIC gave opening remarks and Jong Sup Chong (Member, National Assembly of Korea) gave congratulatory remarks. Matthew Harrison King (Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Department of Homeland Security), Tae-Ki Ghil (Former Vice Minister, Ministry of Justice, Korea) and Jin-Woo Park (Senior Superintendent General, Korean National Police Agency) gave keynote addresses. Joseph P. Cooney (Deputy Director, Public Integrity Section, US Department of Justice), Tsutsumi Kazumichi (Professor, Chuo University), Young Sil Jeon (Director General, Crime Research Division, Korean Institute of Criminology), Mee Young An (Chief Prosecutor), Il-Young Kwon (Chief Inspector, Korean National Police Agency), Jong-Hwan Kim (Professor, Yonsei University Law School), Harald Arnold (Senior Researcher, Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law), Nathalie Leitg?b-Guzy (Researcher, Federal Criminal Police Office, Germany), Stefan Kaufmann (Professor, University of Freiburg), Nakanome Yoshinori (President, Japanese Society of Police Policy Studies), Eun-Kyung Lee (Vice President, Korean Bar Association) and Hyun-Wook Jung (Associate Research Fellow, Korean Institute of Criminology) gave presentations and participated in discussions.
