An academic seminar on school violence will be held on July 11th, 2012, at Grace Hall, L-Tower, Yangjae, Seoul. The seminar, being held under the main theme of “Short-term Counter-measures against School Violence” is to examine causes and current issues of violence and bullying in schools and find effective ways to prevent and respond to them. The seminar is hosted by the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social sciences, arranged by the Korean Institute of Criminology and sponsored by the Ministry of Justice and Dong-A Daily News. Prof. emer. Dr. jur. Kim Il-su, the president of the Korea Institute of Criminology, is delivering the welcoming speech during the opening ceremony. Along with the renowned scholars from various fields, researchers of the KIC will give presentations on the issues and renowned scholars and experts will participate in the seminar.
