The Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) invited two guest speakers from the American Society of Criminology (ASC) for the special seminar hosted on the 25th of June. Professor Chris Eskridge, a Professor of Criminal Justice department at University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an Executive Director of ASC, opened up the first session of the seminar by the topic of ‘The Historical Decline in Violence (with an American emphasis).’ Following the first lecture, Ms. Mariah Waltemath (Coordinator of the American Society of Criminology and a Criminology Research Assistant at University of Nebraska-Lincoln) spoke on the topic of Mentoring At-Risk Youth.
