On August 28-29, 2019, the DMZ International Forum on the Peace Economy was held at Lotte Hotel Seoul with the main theme of ‘Peace Economy and Prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and Beyond’. The Forum, hosted by the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences and the Korean Institute of International Economic Policy (KIEP), aimed to understand the importance of peace economy on the Korean Peninsula and find out actionable measures. The Forum consisted of a keynote session in the morning and 7 parallel sessions in the afternoon. Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) has co-organized the 6th sub-session with the Korea Legislation Research Institute (KLRI) under the theme ‘Restoration of National Homogeneity between two Koreas and Stabilization of Land Order inside DMZ for Peaceful Co-existence’.
