On December 1, the Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) and the United Nations Asia and Far East Institute (UNAFEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). As both institutes are members of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme Network Institutes (UNPNI) in the Asian region, the MOU was signed for the mutual cooperation in the field of criminal policy.
