Date: August 28, 2011 Venue: 12th Floor, Conference Room, KIC The Academic Exchange Meeting with the Judicial Control Research Group of the Chinese Death Penalty was held at KIC on August 28. Professor Il-Su Kim, President of KIC and other researchers presented at the meeting and hosted a discussion with 7 delegates from the Judicial Control Research Group of the Chinese Death Penalty. This meeting increased the understanding of the status and use of the death penalty in Korea and China by discussing the current status of the death penalty, procedures for the death penalty, death penalty standards and alternative punishments in the two countries.
