35 ministers from Thailand including, Minister of Justice Chaikasem Nitisiri and Vice Minister of Justice Kittipong Kittayarak visited Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) on Aug 16, 2013. KIC introduced the halfway treatment system and probation system of Korea to the Thai delegation. Following welcoming remarks from President Il-Su Kim, Sun Young Park and Jaehee Jang of KIC were presented the Halfway House for Successful Prisoner Reentry and Probation System in Korea-Intensive Offender Supervision, respectively. KIC has been communicating with the Thailand Ministry of Justice, through active visits since signing an MOU in 2010.
