Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) announced that it has changed its name to Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ). The name change comes as a result of an extended research focus for the institute from criminal justice to broader scope of judicial affairs including civil, commercial, international, and immigration affairs . KICJ has been the nation’s only research institute in the field of criminology, criminal law, and criminal justice and we will continue to build our expertise in the field of legal affairs and criminology. We remain committed to serving our mandate to advance national law enforcement and criminal policies through systematic and evidence-based research and supporting the legislative’s lawmaking capacities. * KICJ is currently inviting papers for the upcoming issue of International Journal of Criminal Justice.
